HOW DO SHOWS GET INCLUDED IN THE VARSITY THEATER SCHEDULE?

GUEST ARTISTS | PRODUCERS | PROMOTERS

The VTP seeks proposals from Guest Artists, Producers and Promoters who can work up a show,
a program, a series, a concert—some sort of ticket-able event. Proposals must include the following:

• A thorough project description at least one page in length, along with a short and snappy one-paragraph version of this description.

• Proposed date(s) for performance.

• A letter of introduction stating personal and/or group background.

• A listing of personnel involved.

• Technical overview of the proposed show.

• Target audience, proposed methods of marketing the show, and any other info the applicant deems appropriate or may aid the VTP selection committee in seeing the wisdom of making the VTP available to the applicant.

MUSICIANS & BANDS

In general, we do not put together bills from scratch.  The easiest way to get

booked at the Varsity Theater is to put together a 3 or 4 band bill of bands

that would work well together.  Then email us with the proposed bill and a date

range that you are interested in playing. Please include Myspace links or websites

for all the bands you want to play with you. Also let us know about some of the

shows that you have played recently.
